I’ve run across a post on the Art Biz blog about a great resource from the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG). SNAG has created a Professional Guidelines Committee to develop a series of references for common situations that working artists face. These guidelines include “Top Ten Tips for Getting Into a Juried Exhibition, Craft Show, Book or Magazine”, “Guidelines For Fundraising Auctions”, “Guideliens for Open Studios”, and a sample contract for consignment agreements.
The committee chair, metalworker Harriete Estel Berman has posted these guidelines on her web site and you can download them in PDF or Word format for free.
